Design work that has to survive being printed, cut, frosted onto a window, mounted at four metres, and rendered in a browser — held to the same registration, whether it's a business card or a build pipeline.
A little about
myself.
I'm Ronan — a print production specialist transitioning into a career in tech. I don't come from a traditional tech background, but I've made the decision to shift gears and build something new.
Over time, I watched the print industry shift. As AI and low-cost digital tools became more common, the demand for experienced print specialists started to decline. Projects became more simplified, and the focus on quality and process started to slip. It became harder to take pride in the work. I realised the industry was moving in a direction that no longer aligned with my standards — and that it was time to find a new path before I was left behind.
I started looking into tech because it was clear that every industry was moving in that direction. Posters became Facebook ads. Menus turned into digital screens. What used to be physical was now managed through software and networks. I wanted to move beyond the trend, not just follow it — so I started exploring software development, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity, where I could build systems instead of just designing the surfaces around them.
This site is a record of where I've come from and how I worked. Much of it was built in close collaboration with real clients, to their brief rather than mine — so it also includes a series of self-directed projects, created to fill the gaps and show what I'm capable of when I control the brief. It marks the start of a new chapter, guided by my own vision, system, and discipline.
